Dear Colleagues,
During the last Fe.Me.S.P.Rum congress in Istanbul in September 2004, I was given the task of organising our association’s XIII Congress in Bari in 2005.

On behalf of the Organising Committee, I am honoured and pleased to invite you to this congress. Leading scientists will conduct workshops on specific issues such as animal breeding in Mediterranean areas, milk production and processing, and emerging infective and parasitic diseases of ruminants.
Your attendance and support will make this congress more remarkable. I am confident that you will enjoy staying in Bari, a historic and profoundly Mediterranean city. You will experience its hospitality and discover its art, tradition and culture, enhanced by its University that is celebrating its 80th anniversary since its foundation this year. The weather is warm in autumn and a visit through this fascinating, mystic city will relax you after the interesting scientific sessions.

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Bari will be the venue of the meeting. This will be an opportunity for you to become acquainted with the reality of our Faculty and for all of us to strengthen the longstanding professional and personal relationships established, also at an Institutional level.

Prof. Ferruccio Petazzi, President of the Congress
